Safety Manager – Construction | Brentwood, TN

Pay: $45–$53/hour + $178 daily stipend (for full 8-hour workdays)

Hours: 60/60/50 hour rotation – overtime opportunities available

Location: Brentwood, Tennessee

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified Safety Manager to oversee safety operations on a large-scale construction project in Brentwood, TN. This role requires a proven safety professional who can ensure compliance with all OSHA standards, company safety programs, and site-specific requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong field experience, exceptional leadership skills, and a proactive approach to promoting a culture of safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures on-site
  • Conduct job site inspections, hazard analyses, and safety audits
  • Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site orientations
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain OSHA and company documentation and reporting standards
  • Collaborate with site leadership and subcontractors to maintain compliance

Required Qualifications

Candidates must possess at least one of the following certifications or credentials:

  • Certified Safety Professional ( CSP )
  • Associate Safety Professional ( ASP )
  • Construction Health and Safety Technologist ( CHST )
  • Occupational Health and Safety Technologist ( OHST )
  • Graduate or Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health ( IOSH )
  • Safety Trained Supervisor – Construction ( STS-C )
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) or a related field

Preferred:

  • OSHA 500 Trainer Certification

Additional Requirements

  • Must pass a 10-panel drug test and background check prior to employment
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Experience managing safety programs in heavy construction or industrial settings

Compensation & Schedule

  • Pay: $45–$53 per hour (based on experience and credentials)
  • Stipend: $178/day worked (8-hour minimum)
  • Schedule: 60/60/50 hour cycle – frequent overtime available
