Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Property Accountant to join our client's team in West Palm Beach, Florida. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting clients with detailed financial analyses. You will collaborate closely with project managers, lenders, and the financial team to deliver accurate and timely accounting services. Responsibilities: - Prepare and maintain comprehensive financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, trial balances, and cash flow statements. - Conduct monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheets to ensure accuracy. - Collaborate with project managers and lenders to create and monitor construction draw packages. - Record and track accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) transactions to maintain proper financial records. - Assist with year-end filings, tax preparation, and audit processes to ensure compliance. - Develop and update standard operating procedures - Participate in client calls to deliver verbal financial reporting and analysis. - Work with the Controller to manage cash flow projections and pro forma financial statements. - Ensure ethical financial practices and adherence to accounting standards in all transactions. - Build strong working relationships with clients and team members to foster collaboration. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting from an accredited institution. - A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in real estate finance, including development and commercial accounting. - Strong understanding of public accounting standards and financial reporting practices. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and strong analytical abilities. - Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines. - Experience with property accounting, construction accounting, and accrual accounting methodologies.
