Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' speech, language, and communication abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address specific disorders and needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to clients in individual and group settings.
  • Educate patients and their families on communication strategies and techniques.
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to promote optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
  • Document patient care accurately and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families to promote well-being and coping strategies.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of quality improvement initiatives.

Speech Therapist Qualifications:

  • Current Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of CA.
  • 1-2 years of clinical experience in speech therapy, preferably in a similar setting.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Valid CA Driver’s license.
